THE SPIRIT OF ART MENTORSHIP PROGRAM WORKSHOP & RETREAT~ A FOUR DAY ACRYLIC PAINTING MENTORSHIP PROGRAM (FOR ALUMNI)

For those who want to take their paintings to the next level… A deeper dive into acrylic painting technique, empowered inspiration, composition, theory, & process with the attentive support of Autumn Skye!

Over four days of studio time, students are invited into a deeper exploration of the creative painting process. Working from a blank canvas of your choice, you will be guided and empowered to get more ambitious with your composition or subject matter, challenge yourself, and grow as an artist with the mentorship of Autumn Skye. Daily demonstrations will be tailored for the unique students and group to help liberate creative blocks and process challenges. Autumn Skye will work simultaneously on a new painting demonstrating the various stages of a painting’s creation, and also offer attentive one-on-one support and feedback throughout the painting process. 

Group critique sessions will also be facilitated for any students who wish to bring an existing complete or in-progress painting for empowering, constructive, honest, and compassionate discourse.  

An optional “Business of Art & Art of Business” talk will be facilitated for anyone interested in levelling up their professional art career.

Hosted at Skyelight Studio at Heartwood, north of Powell River in qathet regional district. During free time students are welcome to relax, walk the beautiful forest and gardens, soak in the wood-fired hot tub, or keep painting! 

Prices include paints, brushes, palettes, and all needed supplies (brushes, canvas, and palette) Larger canvases will be available for purchase onsite for those who choose to work on a bigger piece than the initial canvas provided.

*for Alumni only, must have completed one previous workshop with Autumn Skye (Heart of Art, Soul Portraits, Vienna Academy, Italy Seminar, Magic Realism, Animal Spirits, etc)
